London rapper Little Simz is back with her latest release Backseat. The twenty three year old urban figurehead connect flow and lyricism to its greatest potential, appropriately delivering rapid-fire truths with confident swagger.
Backseat is the emcee’s first new solo material of 2017, following on from the release of her Stillness In Wonderland album last December. Little Simz has since relentlessly toured the world in support of her latest projects.
On her new track Backseat, the London rapper explains the ups and downs of not only her musical career but also her life in a no holds barred, expressive anthem. "Tattoos in my passport, no sleep. This is what you asked for, don't weep," she spits.
Little Simz is amongst the headliners set to feature at Afropunk at Printworks London on 22nd and 23rd July. The extensive billing includes Lil Simz, Willow Smith, Danny Brown, Jme plus more, and will be the second Afropunk Festival to take place in London.
An institution recognised for defining culture in the music world for over 14 years, Afropunk is a triumph of multiculturalism and diversity for people of all races, genders, colours, creeds and tastes.
