Jackmaster will be donating 10 per cent of his DJ fees over the New Year period towards the current crisis in Aleppo, Syria.
The war torn city has recently seen its residents evacuated to safer surroundings following a succession of attacks. As the city remains under siege, the Scottish DJ announced via Facebook that he would be making the donation and that the fees would go to charities involved.
"I will be donating 10 per cent of all my DJ fees from my New Years Eve and New Years Day gigs to those affected by the tragedies going on in Aleppo. As someone lucky enough to be in the position to donate to worthy causes such as this, more often than not I have sat on my arse and watched it happen on TV.”
"This changes now. If you too are lucky enough to be in a position to donate something (fucking anything), then you can do so using any of the links listed in the comments section below. If you aren't able to donate, then please share this post if you can.
The charities that Jackmaster mentioned include Medecins Sans Frontieres, Unicef, British Red Cross and People’s Convoy, four well-known charities known for doing their bit in Syria.
Jackmaster will be playing Hodmanay in Aberdeen before heading to Subculture in Glasgow on New Years Eve, before making the trip down south to perform at both Warehouse Project and In:Motion Bristol on New Years Day.
