ADAM BEYER DROPS HIS FIRST EP OF 2016, TOGETHER WITH DENSE & PIKA

Following two intensive days in a studio somewhere in West London back in June, Adam Beyer and Dense & Pika are set to release a forthcoming collaboration on Drumcode.

Entitled ‘Going Down’, it’s the label boss’s first EP of the year – better late than never, Adam. He comments: “I’ve always liked collaborations – they bring out the best in me. I’m also a big fan of Dense & Pika’s raw sound, so this worked well. Chris and Alex are great to produce with and are really clear with their vision when they make music.

“I like their work techniques where they run things through hardware and record live takes before cutting them up in DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). I used to work a lot like that in the past, so we have a similar work-flow. They also have a dry English humour which suits me perfectly.”

Having already featured in sets everywhere from Awakenings at ADE to Spazio 900 in Rome, the tracks are hard-hitting master studies in industrial-edged techno. ‘Future’ is a hefty offering perfect for the steamy winter party season as multi-layered synths and effects cavort with heavy-set drums. We can’t wait to hear it at Junction 2.
