In this exclusive interview Adam Beyer reflects on Junction 2 Festival last year, his excitement for next year, his love of London and his thoughts on what a rave should be. Now there’s an opinion that we trust!
After three years of producing the biggest Halloween party in the English capital, Drumcode at Tobacco Dock, Adam Beyer and LWE have developed a long lasting relationship that has grown into a partnership. As the man at the helm of the techno festival Junction 2 (as headliner and director), Adam shaped the vibe of what has become one of the city’s most anticipated events.
Junction 2 takes place in a totally unique venue, merging intense brutalist architecture of the motorway flyover running above, with trees and stream of the forest framing the dance floor either side, and all within London - it’s a truly spectacular location. Beyer commented: “when I got there I was completely blown away by how good it was - the sound, the vibe, the location. Everything was incredible, but then the London crowd was just that bit extra… I’d really love to live here”.
Adam shares how the London crowd really don’t hold back when it comes to raving, having fun, and how working with a promoter that share his ethos results in 10/10 party experiences.
This year in addition to the line up of Techno superstars, there will be a smaller stage in the woods to support up and coming acts and newcomers. Beyer says “I always believe in supporting the underground and newcomers” and this year they’re going to make the line up broader than last year with some interesting choices. Follow Junction 2 to be the first to hear, and in the meantime you can catch Adam Beyer play at Printworks alongside Kevin Over, Reset Robot and Joel Mull.
