Following her revelatory performance at Drumcode Halloween in 2017, Belgian techno queen Amelie Lens returns to London’s Tobacco Dock on December 29th for Junction 2 festival's launch party. Last year saw her tear apart the industrial surroundings of the car park in front of 2,000 techno hungry revellers, and although the stage splits are yet to be confirmed for this year, we know her highly anticipated return is set to be a special one.
Next up for the techno starlet is the debut release on her newly launched label, LENSKE. The three track EP is named after her godchild Basiel, and is due to release on November 23rd. Up until now she’s released on Pan-Pot's label Second State, Pig & Dan’s Elevate label, and collaborated with Regal on Involve earlier this year. Despite only emerging on the underground scene within the last few years, Amelie has consistently played on line-ups at arenas and festivals across the world such as Awakenings, Kappa FuturFestival, DGTL Amsterdam, Sonus Festival, DC-10 and Gashouder to name a few.
To become a global superstar in such a short space of time demonstrates how talented she is as a producer, record digger and performer behind the decks. If you’ve caught her at ADE this year you’ll know how energetic her sets are.
