We caught up with Danish DJ and production duo Anek and asked them to have a good old dig through their record collections. They very kindly agreed to share their top 5 ‘forgotten classics’ with us ahead of their Brighton show at Coalition this Saturday (June 20th.)

Alex Niggemann - Blackrose  << CLICK TITLE TO LISTEN

We played this track a lot when it got released in 2009, and have just rediscovered it.. still sounds so funky.

Kiki - Good Voodoo (Visionquest Remix)  << CLICK TITLE TO LISTEN

Reminds us of a hot evening at a beach party in Ibiza some years ago where Martinez Brothers were playing this track.. We were laughing because this track oozes of sex and the vocal says “Somebody call a doctor, I’m hotter than I´ve ever been” and we were there a small group of girls at a party with a ton of hot men :D

Mike Delgado - Byrd Man’s Revenge  << CLICK TITLE TO LISTEN

Even though this track is from 1997 we bought it on vinyl in our local record shop in Copenhagen in 2001.. Back then we already thought it was a classic.

Etienne De Crecy - Prix Choc  << CLICK TITLE TO LISTEN

This track from the album “Superdiscount” released in 1997 was a big part of our journey of falling in love with house and electronic music.

Josh One - Contemplation (King Britt Funke Mix)  << CLICK TITLE TO LISTEN

We instantly loved this track when it came out in 2001 and played it like crazy back then. Last time we played it, was an edit we did ourselves, at the VIVa Warriors party at Sankeys in 2013 when we closed the party after Steve Lawler.
