Archie Hamilton is a London based DJ, Producer and label owner. One of the newest and most impactful residents to join the Fuse helm, Archie’s productions have been the source of his progression, with esteemed releases through his own labels Moscow and Arkityp, as well as regularly releasing on Fuse, a hub for his groove-fuelled, low slung, acid infused, minimal productions.
2016 was a huge year for Hamilton, bumping the Fuse resident on to a new level. His affiliation with Fuse garnered more and more momentum as he quickly found himself playing peak time support slots on the majority of the labels most established parties. Beyond that he found himself being booked for sets on a number of huge parties, including performances with Hyte at Amnesia, as well as performing at Space and Berghain. This year he will return to Ibiza to play at Privilege for Pure Carl Cox, arguably the biggest party on the white isle.
His first and breakthrough release on Fuse, ‘Works On Sunday’ instantly became a summer anthem, shortly followed by ‘Mind Blank’, one of his most established works on the Fuse imprint. His ‘Troublemaker’ EP on Sukhumvit Records was another staple-point, completing the transition of label boss to internationally recognised artist. Since then he has gone on to release ‘Cirrus’ as part of the Fuse 5 vinyl only compilation series as well as appearing on Eats Everything’s BBC Radio One residency – rocketing Hamilton into becoming a real house hold name in the UK.
Now developing his own unique sound, Archie blurs the lines between deep and moving minimal with hooking vocals and driving acid grooves. In late 2016 DIGWAH released the latest Archie Hamilton work with ‘Something Else’ under the Unknown Artist guise, arguably becoming his most recognisable tune, without the title being attached to his own name. Archie Hamilton has also been working solidly on his Arkityp label and productions, alongside fellow Fuse resident Rossko, his latest project has soured in popularity after only one release, with support from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Marco Carola and many more DJ heavyweights.
You can catch Archie Hamilton at Sonus Festival this year, alongside Fuse head honcho Enzo Siragusa.
