Nathan Gerald, better known as Preditah is a Garage/Grime music composer, DJ & bassist from Birmingham, England. Thanks to his orchestral, melodic head- banging music, he is now one of the most recognisable names and faces in Grime, and instrumental in its recent resurgence. Within a concentrated timescale he has forged a characteristic production standard indebted to early grime, UK garage and pop music.
Preditah has six fine instrumental EPs under his belt, including Solitaire, Eightsome, Circles, Red Bull, Gears of Grime and El Futuro as well as a ton of remix work including heavyweights like Skepta, Disclosure, Jessie Ware, Chase and Status and Danny Brown. Between all this it’s quite impossible to listen to the radio or go out clubbing without hearing his tracks.
Preditah’s breakthrough track was ‘The Big Wok’ which was noticed by JME (Boy Better Know). Once he started screaming his name, it wasn’t long until the rest of the UK music scene caught on to the hype.
Recently, Preditah has appeared on Boiler Room, the cover of RWD Magazine, graced the pages of Mixmag and travelled around Europe as Grime poster-boy Skepta’s tour DJ of choice. As well as producing music, Preditah is also known as a first rate DJ, proving that he is just as good a DJ as he is a music composer.
