Like most strains of electronic music, drum & bass is shifting its focus from festivals to club shows as Autumn sets in. This is especially true of leading protagonist of Russia’s D&B scene, Enei. The St. Petersberg born DJ/producer is returning with new material on Critical Music. The three-tracker, titled Faded EP, lands at the beginning of November.
On the opening track, Enei again utilises the vocals of one of the genre’s premier vocalists in Charli Brix. The end result is a cosmic slab of futuristic D&B sure to have you reaching for the lasers. Whereas Rats Place is a lot edgier and rougher around the edges - and will sit perfectly at home in a sweaty club.

Faded features Enei’s freshest productions since the Transmitter EP dropped earlier in 2018. Fittingly, he teams up with his collaborator on that occasion, Kasra, when the pair play at Critical Sound in London on Saturday 8th December.
The longterm friends link up for a B2B inside E1’s warehouse, alongside a stellar cast that also features Hazard, Serum, Alix Perez, Chimpo and MC:SP. After wrecking havoc at festival stages from Boomtown to Hospitality On the Beach, the collective returns to the scene of last year’s implosive takeover in association with bass purveyors Undivide.
Faded EP is out on Friday 2nd November.
3rd release tickets for Critical Sound at E1 are on sale now.
