Hospital Records affiliate Degs is preparing to release his debut album, Letters From Ndegwa. The hitmaker behind Poveglia and Mixtape Sprayout has produced a personal 14-tracker than is due to land at the end of the month.
Calling in favours from the Hospital clan and from across the drum & bass industry, Degs is joined by scene heavyweights, including S.P.Y. and Logistics. More featured collaborators appear in the form of Unglued, Phil:osophy, MURIUKI and Phoebe Freya amongst several others. In addition to writing and mixing each track, Degs also provides his vocals to several of the cuts, such as Sleepless.
Degs had the following to say:
“Letters From Ndegwa is a culmination of life experiences since signing with the Hospital family back in 2018. For me, it represents the unpredictable nature of life. I’ve been blessed to work with some of my heroes on this project and having my little brother feature on this is the icing on the cake, he was the catalyst to all of this happening in the first place.”
Already, the release is seeing widespread industry support, with Radio 1’s Rene LaVice, Kiss FM’s Mollie Collins and legendary French pioneer Laurent Garnier all giving Degs their dues on their respective radio shows.
To celebrate the new album launch, Degs will be returning to Tobacco Dock along with the rest of the Hospital Records mob this Easter. Hospitality Returns To The Dock is set for Good Friday. Camo & Krooked, Metrik, London Elektricity and Lens will all be in attendance alongside Degs, with a Special Guest TBA.
Letters From Ndegwa is released on Friday 27th March via Hospital Records and will be available from all good download stores.
Fifth release tickets for Hospitality returns to the Dock on April 10th are on sale now, but as with previous years, we’re expecting this party to sell out.
