2018 was a giant year for Delta Heavy, as they played a pivotal role at Arcadia’s 10 Year Anniversary festival and later headlined a Monstercat label showcase at London’s Hangar. Despite a rigorous touring schedule, the boys managed to spend ample time finishing their new album.

Due to arrive on RAM Records almost three years to the day of their debut LP, Only In Dreams is set for release on 22nd March. It should come as little surprise that this offering three years in the making is no straight-up drum & bass offering, with the duo continuing to explore links to other big room genres. Simon James, one-half of the outfit, explains “the genre barriers around bass music have dropped. We are keen to bridge those gaps. We said from the very beginning, we wanted to do something different.” With collaborations with producers as diverse as Zeds Dead and Modestep included in the package, it’s evident that Delta Heavy plan to appeal to the lucrative North American market as well as European bass traditionalists.

Now in conjunction with London bass promoters Hotbed, Delta Heavy return to the UK capital to launch the new album. Paradise Lost lands at Oval Space near Bethnal Green on Friday 22nd February - making exactly a month until their album drops. Forming the UK leg on an extensive European, Australian and North American tour, support comes in the form of The Upbeats, Muzzy and Oliverse.
