Last month Dusky announced their second album ‘Outer’ was ready for it’s long- waited release, accompanied by the unveiling the audio of their feature track ‘Short It Out Sharon’, which features grime pioneer and legend – Wiley.
The tech-house production duo have now shared a clip for the fresh cut (filmed in an ice factory in Thailand) featuring cold, metallic shots. Wiley’s Eskibeat influence is clearly portrayed via the Ben Reed directed clip.
Talking directly about the video, Dusky said “It was a great shout by the director, Ben Reed, to explore the visual aspect of the ice making process as the imagery suits the track and references Eskibeat in an interesting and abstract way.”
The album, entitled ‘Outer’ is scheduled for release in September through their label 17 Steps. It has been five years since the London based pair’s first full length release which dropped on Anjunadeep and they’ve since become globally renowned for their unique and cultured sound. As well as Wiley, the album also includes collaborations with Gary Numan and Solomon Grey.
You can catch Dusky performing ‘Outer’ live at Oval Space on October 19th .
