E1, the Wapping-based club formerly known as Studio Spaces, has recently announced upgrades to the venue and sound system. Having re-opened as E1 at the end of 2017, the venue now boasts a new Funktion-One soundsystem, as well as a third room, and customers will be pleased to know they’ve upgraded their bathroom facilities.

Since re-opening they’ve hosted heavyweight line-ups including Theo Parrish, DVS1, Volvox, Helena Hauff, Chris Liebing, Todd Terje, Âme, Mano Le Tough, Blawan and Avalon Emerson.

Some big dates coming up include the Maya Jane Coles & Friends Halloween showcase with rising Belgian star Charlotte de Witte, Wax Wings, Absolute, Audion. La Fleur & Brendan Long. This one takes place on October 27 and will be a dark and decadent affair on one of the spookiest night of the year.

On 2nd November Undivide invite Jungle Jam for a massive Jungle Drum & Bass double room takeover. Room one hosts Jungle specialists Congo Natty, Dillinja, Benny Page, Chopstick, Dubplate, Remarc, Dazee, Jungle Jam DJs, Skibadee and Jakes. Meanwhile Hospitality Records affiliate Danny Byrd takes over room 2 alongside Brookes Brothers Mollie Collins, Kenny Ken, Unglued, Ramjack. MCs performing on the night include Carasel MC, Ragga Twins and MC Texas.

Towards the end of the year, Drum & Bass label Critical Sound return to the venue on December 8th after a four-year hiatus. To celebrate they’ve invited DJ Hazard to headline the main room alongside Kasra, who’ll go b2b with Enei, Serum, Sam Binga b2b Foreign Concept ft. Fox, Halogenix, Benny L b2b T>I, Klax b2b Hyroglifics b2b Shyun, plus hosts Mantmast, Carasel and Jakes. Room 2 aka The Black Studio, SP:MC hosts 1985 Music’s label DJs; Alix Perez (2 hours), Chimpo, Monty and Tim Parker.
