Brand new for 2017 and once again tearing up the rulebook, Spanish party instigators elrow have announced the launch of their debut festival edition named ‘elrow Friends & Family’ – a one-day event based in Barcelona that promises to be their biggest and craziest party to date.

Sure to become a hit on the European festival circuit, the inaugural date lands on Saturday July 15 at the beachfront location of Salou, approximately one hour south of Barcelona. The location is easily reached via motorway and by high speed train as well as being 10 minutes away from Reus airport.

From their Barcelona HQ at the infamous Row 14 club, they’ve established residencies in Ibiza, Madrid, London and Amsterdam – holding a staggering 88 shows around the globe in 2016. It’s heartening to see them finally find a large scale base in their hometown - speaking of the festival, CEO and founder of elrow Juanito Arnau explains: “After seven years offering shows all over the world, at last we've found the perfect spot to put on the most creative show ever done by the Arnau family in all their long history. For the first time we're joining forces with some of the most crazily, imaginative people we've met around the world, from countries such as Brazil, Portugal, the United States, South Africa, Holland and the UK. Get ready to experience something you've never ever seen before.”

Party-goers can expect three stages of music and as usual, no expense is spared on production. A selection of art installations, games, street theatre, markets, food experiences and crazy costumes will provide the customary erow magic, whilst a line-up of more than 20 of the most exciting names in electronic music is still to be announced.

Furthermore, the festival team promise to make special efforts in order to retain Salou’s picturesque surroundings and will aim to leave the land just as they found it, with a focus on environmentally friendly materials used on site.

To party in the Spanish sun with beaming rays and fluttering confetti on your face, tickets will be on sale on Thursday April 6 at 1pm.
