Two weeks ago, Elrow and LWE embarked on their second London Town festival edition, held at a new location in Trent Park after outgrowing their previous spot in Statford’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic park in 2018.
Arriving on site we knew from the off that this year was already bigger and better. Every inch of the luscious grass meadow was bursting with colour, and featured nine flamboyant tents of music, long stretched bar tents draped in funky decor, a giant size inflatable sofa, and of course the main stage.
This year's main stage theme was inspired by The Bermuda Triangle aka the Devil’s Triangle, loosely situated in the North Atlantic and linked to mystery disappearances of aircraft and ships. So in case you were wondering why the main stage looked like a shipwreck, there’s your answer. As usual the production was next level - making a special mention to the enormous inflatable Octopus sitting directly behind the DJ booth, engrossing revellers with psychedelic visuals for the duration.
Highlights sets came from Michael Bibi, Eric Morillo, Camelphat and Jamie Jones who closed the main stage. We’ve put together our favourite moments in exclusive pictures below.
Next up for LWE is Cuttin' Headz & FUSE at Tobacco Dock on 21st September. £40 tickets on sale now.
