The worldwide colony of party Ants heads from the sunshine isle of Ibiza to the cold climes of Manchester, invading The Warehouse Project on Saturday December 3rd.
Ants is Ushuaïa’s Ibiza’s in-house Saturday party that begins in the hot sunlight of the mid afternoon and spills over into nighttime hedonism. It has become a go to name and place on the island for authentic underground house and techno music and it welcomes the biggest names from dance music on a weekly basis.
The Ants tour now travels worldwide through the winter, before returning to the home nest in Ibiza for the summer - it has now visited Barcelona, Hong Kong, and Bristol. After launching their first show in England at London’s Electric in February, this Northern takeover occurs with world class DJ’s in tow.
Headliners Groove Armada come with a history of multiple chart hits and a reputation as DJs who can effortlessly switch between disco, house, soul and techno. The rest of the bill includes all shades of house and techno, from Joris Voorn’s synth heavy sounds to Andrea Oliva’s more jacking fare, Kolsch’s melodies and Waze & Odyssey’s garage and RnB influences.
The Ants party tour transforms every venue it takes over into an immersive experience, including swarms of Ant dancers run riot throughout an unsuspecting crowd. In Ibiza the vibe transitions throughout the day from pool party to rave, but in this particular Manchester warehouse, we can expect things to start off where the Ibiza night times end.
