On Easter Saturday DNB powerhouse HospitalityDnb return to Wapping, for Hospitality In the Dock. The event wing of the legendary Hospital Records has become synonymous with high-octane, sell-out events – including last year’s escapade at Tobacco Dock and their late summer festival Hospitality In the Park, which took place at Finsbury Park. The star-studied line-up is now out, and we run-down our highlights:
Kamo & Crooked
As youths, Kamo (Reinhard Rietsch) & Krooked (Markus Wagner) met whilst hanging in the skate park, but forged their legacy once they hooked-up inside the studio. The Austrian duo grew to prominence with high-energy, full-throttle drum and bass. But since then their sound has evolved to take-in more complex, emotive electronica – as showcased throughout their giant studio project Mosaik. Expect a proper journey in the dock!
Danny is not only DNB royalty, but Hospital Records through-and-through. He’s also had one of his most productive years since becoming active. He’s ending the year with a couple of B2Bs with burgeoning talent and drum & bass’ great young hope Mollie Collins, but this marks the first opportunity to catch him in 2018. The Byrd is the word!
Bad Company UK
In 2018 dBridge, Vegas, Fresh & Maldini reach a milestone – 2 decades together as DNB wrecking machine Bad Company. So it’s only fitting that they command the Car Park. Here’s their latest offering, featuring Sitka – Fire!
Breakbeat, Jungle or DNB – Randall is the godfather, with 25+ years at the top of his game. After a baptism of fire upon visiting Notting Hill Carnival in 1987, Randall immersed himself into rave culture. The rest is history. From illegal raves and pirate radio stations, to arena tours and headlining festival – Randall is the man!
On 30th March we also pay homage to 30 Years of Micky Finn. Having started DJing in the late eighties, Micky is the accumulation of a wide spectrum of musical influences and trends that culminate under the umbrella of bass music. It’s a credit to his legacy that he’s still a DJ in demand all these years later.
First Release tickets are on sale now, but we expect this event to sell out weeks in advance.
