Hot Since 82 is making the dance album prominent again with a new LP series from the Leeds based DJ’s label Knee Deep In Sound Records.

The first instalment within the series comes from Cristoph, a man who’s made it his mission to blur the lines between contemporary house and techno with four to the floor grooves with intelligent textures and soundscapes.

Cristoph’s album, entitled ‘8-track’ is a collection of decisive and intelligent sounds. The opening track Closer instantaneously grabs your attention launching you straight into the journey, whilst also easing you in for what’s to come, almost structured and organised like one of his own DJ performances.

Closer is also the selected track that the head honcho himself, Hot Since 82, remixed on the LP. The remix depicts a much more upbeat, dance floor accommodating edit.

Knee Deep In Sound is now well in to it’s second year and has featured releases from the likes of Butch, Nick Curly, Emanuel Satie, Sante and of course Hot Since 82. The brand’s ethos is simple, Road-tested, forward thinking house music for the next generation.

You can catch Hot Since 82 bringing Knee Deep in Brighton to The Arch on Saturday 12th November.
