TOP LIVE ACTS TO SEE AT IBIZA ROCKS

Whether you are looking to see the world’s best DJs perform and dance the night away, or catch a live band create stunning atmosphere and perform distinctive, original material - Ibiza really has it all. At the hub of the mayhem – Ibiza Rocks – the heart of the live music scene in Ibiza and the best place to see the biggest acts play under the Balearic stars.

Here are five acts we are tipping to shake Ibiza Rocks this summer:

Kaiser Chiefs - 3rd August 

Rock legends Kaiser Chiefs will perform at Ibiza Rocks on the 3rd August, joining a select list of authentic artists who remain a huge part of the white isle’s history, from Pete Doherty to Arctic Monkeys. The Brit-award winning Indie rock band will be performing all the hits from their five albums including I Predict a Riot, Coming Home, Every Day I Love You Less and Less, Never Miss a Beat and Ruby – the tracks which made the band what they are today.

The Leeds band fronted by BBC’s ‘The Voice’ Rickey Wilson has sold countless records worldwide. Their album ‘Employment’ enjoyed critical and commercial success with over three million copies sold. It has won the band three Brit Awards, including the award for Best British Group, a NME award for Best Album, and was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize.

Dizzee Rascal – 10th August

Dylan Kwabena Mills – AKA – Dizzee Rascal will be bringing his cultured blend of hip hop, grime and UK garage to Ibiza Rocks on 10th August. Best known for his number one hits “Dance wiv Me”, “Bonkers”, “Holiday”, “Dirtee Disco”, and “Shout”, his debut album ‘Boy in da Corner’ is considered a grime classic and earned him the 2003 Mercury Prize Award. Dizzee is swapping the urban London life for sunny Spain this summer and will be guaranteed to bring his a-game to Ibiza Rocks.

Wolf Alice – 14th September 

Wolf Alice is a four-piece alternative rock band from North London, formed initially as a duo in 2009. They release their official debut single “Fluffy” in February 2013, and the single “Bros” followed in May of that year. The north London foursome took three years to get their debut album finished and record. In the meantime they gigged tirelessly around the country, amassing a loyal following for their sweetly savage songs, energetic shows and obvious commitment to having fun. The band will perform at the Ibiza rocks closing party on the 14th September.

Faithless – 31st August  

A band who really need no introduction. Six studio albums, with total sales exceeding 15 million records worldwide, countless prestigious awards and several sold out tours make Faithless one of the most illustrious acts in dance music. Do not miss Faithless perform at Ibiza Rocks on the 31st August.

LCD Soundsystem - 6th July

James Murphy’s one-man band, LCD Soundsystem will take to the stage at Ibiza Rocks on the 6th July. With a new album set for release and huge summer tour, LCD Soundsystem have firmly established themselves as one of the must see bands this year following the reunion of the band. The Brooklyn based band began by recording and releasing multiple singles from 2002 to 2004 leading up to their debut studio album, which was released in 2005. It garnered critical acclaim as well as a Grammy nomination for Best Electronic/ Dance Album.

Their single Daft Punk is Playing at My House became the band’s most successful single, which also received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording. Be sure to catch LCD Soundsystem bring their eclectic blend of Dance-punk, house and electronica to the White Isle this summer.
