Ibiza’s International Music Summit have announced the first set of keynote speakers for it’s 2017 edition.

The Black Madonna, The Martinez Brothers, Dixon and four times grammy award nominees Masters at Work represent the DJ community, whilst Austin Kramer or Spotify and Nick Sabine of Resident Advisor speak on behalf of the electronic music media.

The legendary Bernard Sumner of Brit band New Order also appears amongst the names released this week, as well as the less well known Arnau Family, the force behind the mighty Elrow brand, who will divulge their colourful heritage, philosophy and journey to and beyond Spain. Sumner famously wrote the entire lyrics to New Order’s ‘Technique’ album in a much-documented recording session on the island in 1988/89, the audience will no doubt expect to hear the story of this moment in history.

Topics and talks include a Masterclass on live streaming, and a discussion of Health vs Hedonism.

IMS is billed as “three-day educational, inspirational and motivational thought-leadership platform”; this year is it’s tenth anniversary. Co-curator Ben Turner says: “We’ve always tried to focus on a singular room of content to help create a dialogue for change and a shared experience – all too rare in today’s fractured media landscape. This is really shaping up to be our biggest attendance to date and we hope its the most informative yet… Even after ten years, it feels like our work is only just starting…”

This year’s summit also brings the annual IMS open air party at Dalt Vila, Ibiza’s historic 2,500 year old fort. 2017’s line-up is the biggest yet.
