Introducing Solo Danza - the London based party brand who have seen the likes of Guti, Martin Buttrich, Cassy, Margaret Dygas and many others pass through it’s doors over the past four years. We caught up with Solo Danza co-founder and resident DJ Dennis Christopher to find out what they’ve been up to and what they have coming up in the future, amongst other things!

So guys, tell us a little bit about Solo Danza and how your parties first came together…

Nick and I We wanted to start something new an event that was purely about the right people coming together for the music and dancing it out in humble surroundings. Something that wasn't about the glitz and the glamour, just a good soundsystem with some our favourite DJs in a party space. As a result, at Victorian Vaults, an (at the time) unlicensed basement venue on Great Eastern Street (East London) Solo Danza was Born on Boxing day 2011. With Clive Henry on the bill,it felt more like '80s warehouse' party than a regular club night, 'it was the kind of spot you had to bang on the door, and if you were lucky the bouncer let you in'

Which artists do you have coming to perform and when?

We have 4 Italian artists coming to help us celebrate our 4th anniversary on Sunday Dec 27th, including Davide Squillace, Yaya and Neverdogs.

If you were to summarise Solo Danza in 5 tracks, what would they be?

And what is your favourite thing about your venue for December 27th?

Village underground has always been one of my favourite venues in London it provides a good sound system and has that raw warehouse feeling, also situated in a great location. I am really excited to celebrate our 4th anniversary at VU.

Who has been your favourite guest DJ / artist to date and why?

Very hard question, we enjoyed every artists we have booked, but personally i would say my favourite was Loco Dice, the time we had him playing for us on Easter Sunday, it was more of an after party as it started at 5am and finished at 5pm Dice played an amazing 4hr set was deep minimal after party beats.

What would your dream line up be, dead or alive?

Hahaha… Will have to be Adam Beyer back 2back Joseph Capriati all night long or Carl Cox all night with an old school house set.

Aside from your own events - who else is putting on a decent party in London these days?

There are many promoters putting great events out there we respect everyone for what they do.

What else do you have planned for the rest of 2015 / going into 2016?

We recently had our Halloween Fancy dress party, next we have our 4th anniversary Sunday December 27th with Davide Squillace, Yaya, Neverdogs and myself.

Is there anything else you would like to mention?

A big thanks to everyone who supported us for the last 4 years and keep supporting what we do, also thanks to you for having us on your newsletter.
