JUNCTION 2 ADD RICARDO VILLALOBOS, TALE OF US, DJ STINGRAY AND MORE TO THE LINE UP

Junction 2 are never one to do things by half. Last year saw the worldwide exclusive of Adam Beyer B2B Carl Cox - a true clash of the titans, while Berghain three-piece LSD made their UK festival debut. Even the premise itself, with no plastic tents, no VIP, extended sets and high quality sound sets them apart from other outdoor festivals in this country. And - whilst it’s out of their hands - they do seem to get the luck of the rub with the weather! This year, the event in Boston Manor Park extends to two consecutive days across the weekend of 7th & 8th June.

Already unveiled is the almighty Bicep, the kooky DJ Koze, Caribou alias Daphni and soulful MCDE on the brand new Friday, with support coming from Jeremy Underground, Ben UFO, Shanti Celeste and more. Meanwhile, scene heavyweights Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex and Joseph Capriati join ambassador Adam Beyer on the established Saturday. Apollonia, tINI and Ida Engberg do more than make up the numbers, while Sonja Moonear & Nicolas Lutz both return. Evergreen London legend Craig Richards appears across both days of the weekend. From the previous artist announcement, the identity of both days was starting to become clear, with Friday focusing on underground house music and Saturday remaining true to Junction 2’s techno-oriented roots.

Buckle in, because it just got a whole lot bigger!

Friday sees the return of Innervisions supremo Dixon following his storied appearance last summer, the much-called for coming of Ricardo Villalobos and rare disco connoisseur Hunee, making a compelling top tier.

Saturday is no-less reserved. Packing a punch, techno heiress-apparent Amelie Lens lands in West London, alongside overdue debutant Loco Dice and festival favourites Tale Of Us, who’ll be making their third straight appearance.

More names confirmed for the Friday leg include Gilles Peterson, Objekt, DJ Stingray and protagonists from the Discwoman collective, Umfang and Volvox. The rest of the picks for Saturday include leading ladies ANNA, Lauren Lo Sung and Vaal. Two days with two distinct music policies - Junction 2 2019 promises to surpass previously set standards.

Tickets for both days, combo tickets and early-entry Friday tickets are on sale now.
