On Friday 8th June, young Bristolian techno artist Omar McCutheon makes his debut at West London’s Junction 2 festival. The Timedance label boss has made seismic waves on the scene over the past few years, fundamentally re-shaping the boundaries of UK techno.
He’s released on labels such as Hessle Audio, XL Recordings and Fringe White, and after a two year hiatus on his label Timedance, he’s back with his latest EP titled False Reeds.
The EP's four tracks are a mix of broken beat techno rhythms, wobbly baselines and spacey percussions. It's a firm Ticket Tannoy favourite, and the perfect listening to get you in the mood for Junction 2 - check it out below:
Batu has rapidly grown into a world renowned artist in recent years, and has already played at well respected festivals such as Freerotation, Labyrinth and Rural Festival.
Next up is Junction 2, where he plays in The Warehouse alongside a roster of techno giants such as DJ Stingray, Objekt, Daniel Avery and Umfang, who’ll play back to back with Volvox.
