New Jersey born DJ and producer Kerri Chandler has become one of the most respected artists in the deep house scene since making his debut in the early 90s, and is known as one of the early originators of the deep soul sound within house music. He established his own label Mad House Records Inc in 1992, which has hosted veteran artists such as Dennis Ferrer, Roy Ayers, Voyeur, Kamar Tony Lionni and Jonathan Meyer.
Two and a half decades on, Kerri has announced he’s releasing a 25-track album compilation titled 25 Years Of Madhouse to celebrate 25 years of the label’s existence. Artists featuring on the album include old friends of the label Roy Ayers, Will Saul, Voyeur, DJ Steaw, DJ Deep, Jimpster and Adesse Versions. Original and remixed Chandler tracks, along with an eight-track vinyl sampler round off the compilation.
The album drops on September 7th 2018. While we patiently wait for track previews, we picked out one of the early originals by Roy Ayers & Kerri Chandler called ‘Good Vibrations’ (Mad Mix) below:
With only three gigs in the UK this year, you don’t want to miss Kerri playing a rare b2b set under the alias ‘Underground Kaoz’ with Jeremy Underground at Leeds’ Mint Festival in September. They’ll play alongside Chicago house legend Moodymann, Peggy Gou, Derrick Carter and more. 3rd release tickets on sale now.
