Following a busy summer touring, Nina Kraviz brings her трипfamily to Manchester for a debut showcase at The Warehouse Project on Saturday 8th December. Трип DJ’s playing on the night include Fred P, Bjarki, PTU, and of course label boss Kraviz.
Siberian born and raised DJ Nina Kraviz launched the label Трип aka Trip in 2014, when she released a double-EP compilation titled The Deviant Octopus featuring productions from herself alongside Terrance Dixon, Bjarki, Nikita Zabelin, PTU & Roma Zuckerman and Barcode Population. Starting a label was always on the cards for Nina, since moving to Moscow where her house and techno passions evolved. The Трип concept itself is built off her love for 90’s techno labels combined with forward-thinking modern productions, demonstrating her taste for trippy and divergent electronic music.
Since launching, Трип has built up a vast roster of techno artists, including the likes of Bjarki, Deniro, Fred P, PTU and Exos to name a few. Despite being one of the lesser known artists to begin with, Bjarki’s I Wanna Go Bang EP became one of the most played records of 2015, taking the label to new levels of success. Over the past two years, releases on the label have consisted of Various Artist EPs, giving artists the chance to collaborate showcasing material as one family. The label has already toured North America as well as three annual Трип to the Moon showcases on a spacecraft in Iceland, and this summer saw their first tour around Europe. For their next stop in Manchester, Nina brings Bjarki, Fred P, PTU and Deniro to the industrial surroundings of the 2,000 capacity Store Street venue, for The Warehouse Project Presents on Friday 8th December.
