Chase and Status and Blossoms have revealed a new joint single – ‘This Moment’. Landing on Virgin/EMI, the groups say it came about via a chance meeting in the studio.

The track features lyrics from silk toned Blossoms frontman Tom Ogden, with backing provided by bandmates and Chase and Status. The track marks a departure from Blossoms' usual brand of mellow indie-pop as the band collaborate with the drum and bass chart toppers for what is set to be a festival season smasher.

Ogden says: “The collaboration came together really quickly and naturally. It was a good buzz to step out of my comfort zone. I believe the kids call such tunes ‘fucking bangers’.”

Chase and Status, real names Will Kennar and Saul Milton, added: “It was a privilege working with such a talented and hard working band as Blossoms. It’s always a challenge to collaborate with another act, but this was easy.”

The pair have a strong history of collaboration – last year saw them team up with rock band Slaves, and later grime artist Giggs.
