Legendary Dusseldorf-based DJ and producer Loco Dice has been at the forefront of the dance music scene for over a decade. Dice is famous for a ten-year long residency in Dusseldorf and at DC-10 in Ibiza, as well as establishing his own label Desolat in 2007, both main factors behind his legendary status in the tech house scene. However, for those who aren’t familiar, his other passion originates from his childhood, as a son of Tunisian immigrants, where he grew up immersed in the world of hip hop and street culture.
Loco Dice has just announced a new hip hop side project called FKD, a collaboration with old friends and music producers Frizzo and Kobe Hodgson. He’s teamed up with BURN energy for the five track EP on label Saikout which features the likes of YGG, Kaisen, Killa P and Jacques Fugee, household name in the emerging UK hip-hop and grime scene.
FKD is a project through which Loco Dice will blur the boundaries between electronic music, trap, hip-hop and grime. Listen to the EP here:
Loco Dice is back in the UK at We Are FSTVL in May 2018. Weekend tickets are on fourth release, so don’t miss out if you plan to see him at the acclaimed British festival next year.
