After weeks of suspense (and a few clues being drip-fed along the way!) London’s largest independent promoters LWE have revealed the location of their latest project! Well known for continuously discovering new industrial spaces within the capital, speculation of their latest find ranged from canal-side in East, to industrial parks out West. But now all bets can be laid to rest! Old Fountain Studios in Wembley Park is a former television studio in the thick of North West London. Fitting with their modus operandi, it’s another blank canvas with which they can cast their unique artistic vision. Some of the more prominent features of the building include rusted walkways, barbed-wire fences and looming ceilings. Gritty and unpolished in character, we’re looking forward to our first-taste of clubbing in London’s newest venue.

Head of Production, Loz Poulton, had this to say about the new venue:
“With its previous life as a TV and film studio it has a range of rigging capabilities where we can fix a substantial L-Acoustics soundsystem over the dancefloor. We’ll also be flying trussing with a complex tessellating lighting design, which I’m super excited about, not to mention the installation of over 85 lasers.”

The opening party will be hosted by The Martinez Brothers on Bank Holiday Sunday 6th May. Their label – Cuttin’ Headz – will take centre stage. As well as an extended set from the Bronx duo, there will be appearances from FUSE’s Rossko & Archie Hamilton under their Arkityp project, Argy and Matt Tolfrey. Plus we’re hearing whispers of surprise guests. As if things couldn’t get more exciting!

Next-up just 4-days later is Paul Kalkbrenner’s return to the capital. The German superstar will drop his new album Parts Of Life on 18th May, so this will be an official album launch and the London leg of a world tour.

We can’t wait to see what LWE have in store with this new venture. Though we’re certain it will live-up to the hype!
