The name Jordan Alexander probably won’t mean much to you. But his pseudonym Mall Grab, definitely will. Curiously, Jordan/Mall Grab has decided to release his next EP under his given name. The 2-tracker marks the first-time he has put his full name to music and will come via his own Looking For Trouble label, which launched last year.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of More Than I Ever Could Have Thought/The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter is Alexander’s accompanying notes, in which he states both tracks were written during “the most turbulent, formative and important year of my life.” The Oz star goes on to say that the music “is about self-discovery. About who I am, and who I want to be.” Introspective. From the outset, they certainly give the impression of being his most personal and deep material to date.
Scheduled for release on Friday 22nd March, you can preview both cuts below:
Long term fans of Mall Grab need not worry. He has no plans to shelve the project, and you can expert to be hearing lots more material under his most-famous moniker in the future. UK fans can catch Alexander playing as Mall Grab at a handful of festivals this summer – including MADE in Birmingham and Manchester’s Parklife.
Naturally, we have tickets for both – all options on sale now.
