MK, CLAPTONE, FISHER AND SONNY FODERA ANNOUNCED FOR LOST! IN THE DOCK

2019 will be a strange year. For starters, there’s no annual-opener at Tobacco Dock on 1st January. The absence of a party that has become tradition and a firm fixture in our clubbing calendar, means that after Junction 2’s launch on 29th December, we have to wait until March until our next daytime soiree in Wapping.

Fortunately, it’s worth the wait! In association with Hotbox, LOST! In the Dock lands in the capital - and the line-up is juicy! Billed as an indoor festival, the show comes off the back of a notable series of events that has seen the likes of Claptone, Sonny Fodera and latest sensation Fisher booked at smaller-scale shows. But the huge venue takeover on 23rd March marks their biggest event to date. After a legacy of techno-orientated parties at the venue, we have a feeling that this one might appeal to the interest of house fanatics.

The Great Gallery will be hosted by American superstar MK and his Area10 party brand. The globe-trotting producer and acclaimed remixer is house music royalty, with three decades of hits under his belt. Somewhat amazingly, this will be MK’s debut at the celebrated London venue. He lines up alongside Claptone, who is still riding a wave after his sell-out date at Electric Brixton this past fortnight. The mysterious, masked maverick will be conjuring vocal house delicacies.

Adding more star-power is Radio 1 tastemaker Danny Howard. The show host and label owner is both an entertainer and an educator to the UK’s listening habits. The heavy-hitters keep coming, with Dutchman Franky Rizardo - the man behind the giant Same Man dancefloor weapon - and one-half of German house kingpins Avotre, Santé.

There’s still space for prolific producer Max Chapman and a gentleman who’s having a very good week… Weiss picked-up the gong for Best Track at DJ Mag’s Best of British awards for his summer anthem Feel My Needs. All in all, we’re sure you’ll agree, that the line-up is brimming with out-and-out house talent - and there’s still plenty of names to be announced.
