MODESELEKTOR ARE RELEASING THEIR FIRST ALBUM IN EIGHT YEARS

There are a few acts in electronic music that warrant getting excited about at the prospect of new music. And Modeselektor are definitely one of them. The Berlin-based outfit have always refused to conform when it comes to their productions, though they haven’t put out an album since 2011, instead opting to focus on their collaborative project with Apparat, Moderat. Thankfully, that duct looks set to soon be broken, as the band announce extended player Who Else? and prepare to begin touring again as a two-piece.

The new material – eight tracks worth for fans to sink their teeth into – promises to “represent the ambivalent sound of Berlin”, dispensing with formulaic approaches and counteracting boredom. Not that we would expect any differently, from producers who are renowned for pushing the envelope. An adventure into sounds, bass and beats, this latest body of work has been on the blocks for two years, yet only took a month to record.

Who Else? is scheduled for release via Monkeytown Record on Friday 22nd February and is available for pre-order now.

On Saturday 23rd February Modeselektor will perform live at Oval Space in Bethnal Green, London.

Limited general admission tickets are on sale now at £20.00 +BF each.
