FIVE PRO SKATERS AND BRANDS NOT TO MISS AT NASS FESTIVAL

Over recent years Nass Festival has firmly established itself as one of the biggest and most progressive contests of the year for some of the world’s best and prevalent skaters. Not only that, but for the first time, Nass will introduce an Amateur contest to the professional park, giving rookies the chance to step up and perfect their art at the UK’s finest, purpose built skate park.


Moonshine Skateboards

Straight out of North Carolina Moonshine skateboards will be making a debut appearance at Nass this summer. Moonshine, known for being the only recognised ‘vert’ skate brand, have quickly swept Europe off of its feet. All starting as a dream from Adam Moonshine, later with the help of UK expert Chris Hudson, Moonshine have put together a team of vertical rippers, combining the best of vert legends like Jockie Olson and Sean Goff with up and coming pro’s such as Clay Kreimer and Jesse Thomas.


Get Lesta

Leicester based marque; Get Lesta will also be making an appearance at Nass with their team of skaters. The brand are currently putting out some of the best UK skate edits and injecting some fun back in to skateboarding. With various feature articles in revered publication Sidewalk, and collaborations with factions such as Girl Skate UK, Get Lesta are rapidly becoming one of the most reputable trademark's in the skating world.


Andy Scott

Brit genius Andy Scott has been active on the skate scene for over 20 years, first making a name for himself in an unofficial Flip promotional video in 1992. With Tom Penny, Geoff Rowley and Rune Glifberg, he was part of the team when Flip relocated to the USA in 1994. Skating with a regular stance, and influenced by parts from riders such as Peter Hewitt, John Cardiel and Wade Speyer, Andy has been described on more than one occasion as ‘probably the best all-round skateboarder Britain has ever produced’.


Kris Vile

Birmingham born Kris Vile is a pro for Vans Europe, and also rides for Volcom Europe, Type S Wheels and Derby’s Rollernsakes skate shop. His first major video release was part of Andy Evans’ 2007 independent film ‘This ‘n that’ as well as appearing in Van’s ‘Roll With Us’ in 2008. In recent years, he has travelled the world in search of the greatest spots around, including trips to China, Latvia, Spain, Portugal, Australia and New Zealand.


Danny Leon

Spanish ripper Danny Leon learnt his trade at Madrid’s Mostoles skate park. His progress as a skater has been fast and furious, he has been nailing tricks old and new, gaining a reputation as one of the best up and coming skaters in Europe. The 21-year-old is now fully sponsored by Red Bull, Globe, G-Shock and Arnette, and entirely ready to breakthrough on to the international stage.


Pro skater’s Ewan Bower, Jak Tongue, Sam Pulley, Isaac Miller, Dannie Carlsen, Adam Keats, Clay Kreiner, James Threlfall and Guinness world record breaker Alex Decuhna, will also be ripping at Nass 2016.

Nass Festival takes place between the 8th - 10th July at the Royal Bath and West Showground near Bristol.
