After a successful first year, Elrow return to Queen Elizabeth Olympic park in London for their second edition on 18th and 19th August. Spreading across two days with a 25,000 capacity, Elrow bring their biggest Rowshow to date, hosting dance artist phenomenons such as Richy Ahmed, Steve Lawler and Paul Kalkbrenner, who will perform live.
Berlin-based DJ and producer Paul Kalkbrenner has been on the music scene since the late nineties, when he debuted his first tracks on Ellen Allien’s label Bpitch Control, before producing the global hit ‘Berlin Calling’ a year later – which proved a massive success and went Platinum, spending 121 weeks in the charts. But it wasn’t until 2009 when he separated from Bpitch control to form his own independent imprint – Paul Kalkbrenner Musik, which became the platform for his fifth and six studio albums. Following this success he signed to Sony, and from there he produced his seventh studio album and created and toured a new live show. Paul has become one of the most respected artists in the scene but his credibility hasn’t come without hard work, and after 15 incredibly busy years, he shows no signs of stopping yet.
Next up for Paul is a brand new studio album titled ‘Parts Of Life’ which is due for release on Sony International later in May. It’s been three long years but fans can finally get excited with the news of a 15 track LP which will be his eighth studio album and the first full LP he’s released on Sony International, after having released the EP Cloud Rider, track ‘Mothertrucker’ and ‘Feed Your Head’ in 2015. Inspiration from the EP comes from his 2016 Back To The Future mixtape trilogy, and follows the theme of late 80’s and 90’s tracks he once collected during his youth in Berlin.
Watch Paul perform the first single ‘Part Three’ below and check out the album’s cover art which Kalkbrenner’s uncle Paul Eisel painted, representing a collection of “unique personal objects”.
Third release tickets are all sold out but VIP tickets are still available, don’t miss your chance and be the first to watch Paul perform hits from ‘Parts Of Life’.
