Ticket Tannoy favourites Percolate are certainly keeping busy in 2019! Seemingly uncontent with regular shows at The Mill Birmingham, their new All Night series and various one-off concert across the capital, they are expanding the ever-popular Queen’s Yard Summer Party to make it a multi-day event. And they’ve invited over a 100 artists to join them for the occasion. Dispensing with international headliners and instead putting faith in pillars of the UK scene, the now two-day event promises to showcase the most innovative homegrown electronic music.
Picking-out highlights in a roster stacked with talent is no easy feat (but since you asked, we’ll give it a try!) For starters, Saturday sees our favourite London-based Italiano, Congaloid boss Stefano Ritteri drop by, along with Tristan da Cunha and Dan Shake, Meanwhile, Fabio of Fabio & Grooverider fame, is set to play a special solo set comprised entirely of acid house records. Arguably, Sunday is where the real spoils can be found. Amy Becker, Sub Club legends Harri & Domenic, Pickle Factory quarterly resident Jane Fitz, disco-edged Felix Dickinson, queer disco queen Hannah Holland and veteran house DJ Luke Solomon are all part of the impeccable programming.
Although the music does form a pretty significant chunk of the appeal, Queen’s Yard Summer Party also boasts art exhibitions, food traders, wellness seminars, independent apparel retailers and thought-provoking talks. You can even dabble in a spot of rock-climbing should you be so inclined! Set across twenty venues all within close proximity to one another in Hackney Wick, the best part is the further you’ll walk is a breezy fifthteen minutes between locations. A few of the institutions involved include Bloc., Giant Steps, Mick’s Garage and Studio 9294. The May Day bank holiday weekend never felt so appealing!
First release Saturday, Sunday and Weekend tickets are all on sale now.
