On New Year’s Eve Printworks welcome in 2018 with their first night time event and a headline performance from the one-and-only MK!
Marc Kinchen needs no introduction. The Detroit producer has had a storied-career in house music which spans three incredible decades. As a remixer, he might be the most decorated of all time. When it comes to breaking records, MK is the man! From his 1995 remix of Nightcrawlers’ Push The Feelin’ On to last year’s hit My Love 4 U. Now his latest single 17 looks set for more chart dominance.
Away from electronic music he is equally in demand as a producer to the stars of pop and R&B. MK is joined by frequent collaborator and multi-label owner, Lee Foss. As two-third of Pleasure State, they are no strangers to sharing a stage together. With Emerald City and Repopulate Mars he runs two of the most distinctive labels in the industry. But it is as one-half of Hot Creations’ owners where he made his name. Foss is equally at home in an East London basement as he is at an LA pool party. So adapting to Printworks’ cavernous Print Halls shouldn’t prove too much of a tall order for him. Ahead of the curve and always kooky, we wouldn’t have him any other way.
KC Lights is the third act, and a DJ who has toured extensively with MK over the last few years. On the production front, the Glaswegian DJ has released on Nothing Else Matters, Cheap Thrills and Spinnin’ Records. He counts tastemakers Annie Mac and Danny Howard amongst his biggest fans, and the Radio 1 plays have been notching-up. Printworks might be KC’s biggest stage to date. But with the world at his feet, his time to shine is now.
There’s still more acts TBA, but already the Press Halls boasts the most star-studied line-up in London on NYE.
Promising Hypes! Lies! + Gossip! Ibiza Voice is the white isle’s premier digital dirtsheet. Hosting news, interviews and mixes, they’ll be taking over the Charge Bay with Robert Dietz, Laura Jones, Will Clarke and a Special Guest TBA. Running from 22:00 – 04:00, NYE will be Printworks’ first all-nighter.
On New Year’s Day, Printworks host Hospitality DnB, The Blast & Metropolis who present UNDIVIDE. Off the back of his huge Belief System project Paul Woolford will be appearing under bass-ier, genre-spanning alias Special Request. He'll be playing a rare and exclusive back-to-back with non-other than DJ Zinc! Who knows where these two mavericks will take us? Buckle in for the ride.
London Elektricity is the backbone and CEO of Hospital Records - the seminal DNB label still shaping bass music after 20 + Years strong.
Dub Phizix & Strategy are a Mancunian DJ & MC partnership whose distinctive style has won a legion of fans, as well as bagging them a FABRICLIVE mix and R1 Residency radio show.'
Bladerunner, Serum & Voltage. Individually they are DNB wrecking-machines. But together they form the formidable Kings of Rollers DJ collective and promise a banquet of basslines and more damage than any other bass act on the planet!
Completing The Press Halls we have a triology of B2B showcases NuTone/Bcee, Etherwood/Hybrid Minds & TS2W/Jaydrop.
