London’s newest venue, Printworks, has today announced the first wave of names to appear on the venue’s music programme in 2017. Weekly line-ups are set to be announced next week and music lovers can sign-up for priority tickets here.
The experimental cultural hub caused a stir last week with news of its arrival, accompanied by a set of teaser videos showing off the truly unique venue. Adam Beyer, Ben Klock, Nina Kraviz and Seth Troxler are amongst the first artists that will play in the venue’s stunning industrial Press Halls. Motor City Drum Ensemble, Jeremy Underground, Joy Orbison, Kiasmos (live), DJ Koze and Gold Panda are also slated to appear.
Dubbed Issue 001, the first series of music shows will run from midday to 10.30pm each Saturday from February until the end of April. The program features leading brands from the international circuit - foremost amongst the partner brands are acclaimed promoters The Hydra, an integral part of London's underground music culture, responsible for some of the city's most exciting shows in recent years.
Other shows will be hosted by leading Berlin Techno label Klockworks and international heavy-weights Melt, whose experience of throwing their annual festival in a disused giant machine factory will lend itself perfectly to the industrial environment at Printworks.
The team at Printworks are busy at work on a cultural calendar of events including food festivals, immersive theatre, orchestral concerts, exhibitions and more, with further details revealed at a later date.
