It’s hard to not get a little overexcited, but summer is here! Okay, so it’ll probably have faded away again by mid-June – but that means savouring it until then all the more important. Our city really comes alive at this time of year. And we have some great events lined-up away from the clubs.
UKG brunch continues to go from strength to strength – and it’s easy to see why! Unlimited fried chicken? Check. Unlimited rum cocktails? Check. UKG soundtrack? Check. There’s 2 London dates a month to choose from, and various jaunts elsewhere in the country. There’s a reason this is latest craze sweeping the nation – because it rules!
If garage isn’t your thing, then how about a night dedicated to your favourite singer-songwriter or genre of music. A Night Of… return for nights across May, June and July. Take your pick from Neo Soul, Motown, R&B all the way to Stevie Wonder and Amy Winehouse. Venues and days of the week vary, so check our listings for a full rundown.

If it’s a different type of gaming that takes your fancy, then REZtron return in June and July for a pair of retro gaming soirees. For something a little more highbrow, Printworks London have a run of operatic production CAVE from 20th to 23rd June. The story in association with London Sinfonietta tells the tale of a grieving father travelling to the underworld to find his missing daughter. We can’t think of a more atmospheric setting than Canada Water’s multi-purpose industrial space.
If it’s drinking – namely beer – which takes your fancy, then we have two craft beer festivals from which to choose. Beavertown roll into Printworks on 7th & 8th September featuring 70 of the world’s best independent breweries. Meanwhile, London Craft Beer Festival lands at Tobacco Dock 3rd-5th August. Sample 65+ tentalising beers whilst music is provided by the likes of Everything Everything, Two Door Cinema Club and Hercules & Love Affair. Now that’s a hot ticket!
