STANDON CALLING ANNOUNCES 2016 LINE-UP

Brit-pop veterans Suede, Grammy award winner Jess Glynne and Milkshake-mama Kelis are the headline names announced for 2016’s edition of Standon Calling.

The Hives, Ghostpoet, and Mercury-prize nominees Anna Calvi and Everything Everything also feature on the bill at the festival, taking place on July 29 – 31.

Flying the flag for electronic music are legendary pioneers Theo Parrish, Goldie MBE, and Luke Abbot.

A boutique festival with major musical ambition, Standon has over the years played host to early performances from then-rising musicians including Florence and the Machine, Friendly Fires, Mumford and Sons, Bastille, Metronomy, London Grammar and many more; this year the festival welcomes Rationale, Billie Marten and TT favourite Loyle Carner, amongst others.

The theme for this year's festival will be announced this Saturday. Past themes have included ‘Murder on the Standon Express’, ‘Running Away from the Circus’ and ‘A Town of Two Faces’ - this year's theme is set to be even more ambitious.
