Universal grime super star and Manchester United enthusiast, Stormzy confirmed the world record breaking, football transfer of Paul Pogba from Italian champions Juventus this morning.
The previous week had been a carousel of ‘Will he? Won't he?’ speculation as the 23-year- old Frenchman toyed with the prospect of joining new manager Jose Mourinho at the club he had left as a teenager. A cool £89 million later and a surprise Stormzy music video saw Pogba in a Manchester United shirt once again.
In the video posted on social media, the rapper can be seen sporting a Red Devils shirt whilst laying down a fresh 24 bars, joined by his friend and fellow Adidas ambassador Paul Pogba. At the end of the video, Stormzy turns around to show his back to the camera - revealing the name "Pogba" printed on his Manchester United shirt. Stormzy posted the video on Twitter, with the words: "He's back".
It’s certainly not the first time Stormzy has appeared side by side with some of the world’s greatest sports stars. Back in December of last year he accompanied Anthony Joshua to the ring before his heavy weight-boxing bout with American fighter Dilan Whyte. He was also the voice behind Joshua’s promotional campaign in the lead up to his title fight with Charles Martin back in April.
You can catch Stormzy performing at Ibiza Rocks, when W.A.R and Noisey bring him to the white isle.
