THE MARTINEZ BROTHERS INVITE PEGGY GOU FOR A FLAMING HOT REMIX ON CUTTIN’ HEADZ

On 3rd May 2018, Annie Mac presents Lost & Found returns to the stunning hide away that is St Paul’s Bay in Malta for the fourth edition of the sunny Mediterranean festival. Next year BBC 1 radio star, Annie Mac, invites some of the biggest names in dance music including Jamie XX, Four Tet, The Black Madonna, Diplo, Hot Since 82, Jackmaster, Tiga, Kölsch, and The Martinez Brothers to name a few.

Bronx born brothers Chris and Steve Martinez are two of the most popular household names in the underground  scene. The pair are famous for their long held residency at Ibiza’s DC-10, which they’ve had since 2011, demonstrating how solid and consistent their standing is within the tech house scene over the last six years. They’ve gone from strength to strength releasing a number of dance floor fillers, debuting with 'My Rendition' in 2006, and topped the charts with their remix of Santos Resiaks’ 'A Better Light' on One Records in 2015. However, it was the release of 'H 2 Da Izzo' on Real Tone Records in 2012 that really booted off their careers and captured the attention of music heads within the industry.

To round off the year they’ll be releasing a huge remix compilation on their own label Cuttin’ Headz inviting an array of artists, including one of the most talked about stars of 2017 –  female DJ and producer - Peggy Gou, who will put her spin on H 2 Da Izzo. The 27 year old has had a busy gig schedule this year, playing across the globe at renowned events and festivals such as Dekmantel, BPM, Strawberry Fields and On Air Festival, but it wasn’t until  earlier this year that The Martinez Brothers and Peggy played together, performing at Mixmag’s The Lab in Miami.

In true Peggy style she’s taken H 2 Da Izzo to a fresh new level, slowing down the tempo with a melodic and clapping theme throughout, and topped it off with a niche groove sound often heard across her DJ sets. Check it out below:

The EP is titled 'The Martinez Brothers Remixed Part One'and is available on digital release and vinyl on December 22nd.

If this gets your hearts racing, then don’t miss the Martinez Brothers at Annie Mac presents Lost & Found next May. Tickets on sale now.
