On 29th November, French tech house trio Apollonia (Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom and Shonky) return to the UK after a sizzling hot summer of shows on the White Isle, Ibiza. They’ve played relentlessly there for almost a decade, flitting between super clubs and beach parties, and this year finally landed themselves their own residency. Their new night, titled ‘Planet Claire’ resided itself at Octan club (formerly Sankeys) throughout the season. For 10 weeks the trio played back to back Sunday’s inviting artists and friends such as Nicolas Lutz, Omar, Gene On Earth, Pearson Sound, Traumer, Cristi Cons, Francesco Del Garda and more.
All good things must come to an end, which means it’s time for them to depart the sun-kissed beaches and say hello to winter. The trio weren’t quite ready to let go just yet, and in light of this promoters LWE have invited them to present Planet Claire at London’s E1 club for the very first time. Sticking with the theme of ‘quality over quantity’, their London edition will see the trio takeover the warehouse room all night long. Meanwhile, previous guests Cristi Cons and Traumer will play their minimal techno groovers in the confined intimate surroundings of the Black Studio on the famous ‘Wall Of Sound’ (learn more on our Venue Focus: E1 London here).
The label has seen countless chart topping releases since its inception in 2012 so we’ve decided to reminisce and take a look back on some of our favourites.
If you were lucky enough to see them head up the Stretch stage at Junction 2 last year then you’ll know how much heat they bring to their sets.
Tickets for Apollonia present: Planet Claire at E1 London on November 29th are on sale now.
