London party-starters are back at Finsbury Park for their sophomore festival outing. After the unqualified success of year one, it was a given that they would be back in 2018. Following several artist releases, featuring the likes of Steve Lawler, Danny Howard and Groove Armada, the line-up is now complete the latest announcement.
Geordie wildman and all-round funny dude wAFF returns. Who can forget that wAFF was present at the very first Abode event four years ago. Very much a part of the brand’s history, he was also present during the festival’s debut year, so it’s fitting he is a part of proceedings once more.
Secondcity is another scene heavyweight, whose relationship with Abode goes way back. He was one of the first artists to release on the party’s label and even as recently as this summer he has made several appearances at Abode’s Ibiza residency at Amnesia. From one big stage to another, the pan-Atlantic star will play the Abode main stage on 23rd September.
One new face gracing the festival is Paul Woolford. The Yorkshire producer has been a dominant UK production force in recent years, working under a variety of studio guises that span the spectrum of electronic music. A true music aficionado, we can say with a high-degree of certainty that Woolford will bring bass-pumped beats to Finsbury Park.
Finally, the bill is wrapped by a duo who form two of London’s most familiar faces. The formidable Leftwing & Kody join Nothing Else Matters in the big top. With releases on Relief, Desolat, Toolroom and Lost, 2018 is arguably their most prolific year to date.
With all the names now revealed and less than a month to go, we are on the downhill slope to festival season’s curtain call. Join the Abode family at Finsbury Park to sign-off in style. With Lee Foss, East End Dubs, Sidney Charles and all the Abode residents set to play, year two is shaping up to be bigger than the first.
Fifth release tickets are on sale now - but are likely to sell out in advance.
