On 10th May Paul Kalkbrenner will perform his new studio album ‘Parts Of Life’ for the very first time in London, at LWE’s secret, never-before used location – Old Fountain Studios. The LP follows the theme of late 80s and 90s tracks he once collected during his youth in Berlin, combined with inspiration from his 2016 Back To The Future mixtape trilogy. He teased us just a few weeks ago when he published a video performing Part Three, and more recently the new single Part Eight.
In true Kalkbrenner style, he performs Part Eight on the rooftop of the iconic Kraftwerk venue in Berlin. It seems somewhat fitting to choose this location to perform the new single – drawing influence from early electronic music and combining this with modern day tech. It sure looks like he’s enjoying it!
Watch the music video below and catch his first London performance of the ‘Parts of Life’ album at Old Fountain Studios on 10th May – expect the finest sound from the newly installed L’Actoustics sound system and a brand-new lighting installation with over 85 lasers.
