WHAT TO EXPECT AT LONDON'S FIRST EVER BRUNCH FESTIVAL

There’s a lot we can learn from our European cousins. And squeezing in an additional meal between breakfast and lunch is definitely one of them. That the UK - and specifically London - has embraced brunch culture in recently, is a sign of the times. No wonder then, that the capital is getting its first dedicated festival celebrity the cult of the brunch!

On Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September, Brunch Fest takes place at The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane in Shoreditch. There will be coffee, booze and lots of exceptionally crafted food, plus music of course. A selection of brunch vendors will be on hand to deliver their customized menu, crafted specifically with this event in mind. And no matter your persuasion, there will be the food for you. Mexican dishes will be provided by Benitos Hat, whilst Italian delights come courtesy of Arancici Brothers. Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen will be bringing the taste of West Africa and On Cafe will be serving a range of Asian Dim Sum inspired delicacies. Waffle On will be present offering a selection of sweet delights and you’ll even find other tasty morsels, such as innovative takes on the classic scotch egg.

Drinks will be supplied by late-night Hackney venue The Pickle House - make sure you check out their famed Bloody Mary. An extensive range of cocktails and bubbles will also be available to whet your whistle. You’ll even find various market stalls on site, plus discussion panels that you can get involved with. With various sessions across the weekend, and children welcome, this is an event to get your teeth stuck into.
